Happy Birthday Jesus!
Each day, in school, we opened our Advent calendar
and placed a new figure in our manger.
Since we won't be in school on Christmas day,
I wanted to place Jesus in the manger so the children
could see that we completed our class nativity.
Merry Christmas!
Great Job Pre K 3!!!
Some of our friends were able to join our google meeting today,
and I am so proud of them.
We all thought is was a bit strange to be on our computers,
but we made the best of it.
Artists at Work
Pre K 3 loved getting messy today!
We recycled empty, clean milk cartons and turned them
in adorable gingerbread houses.
The children did a great job using their finger muscles to decorate them.
They created beautiful masterpieces!

Thank you to Henry's Mommy, Daddy, big sister Lillian, and dog Rosie
for visiting us today! They read e.e.Cummings, Little Tree to us.
After hearing the poem, we all had a turn decorating
a little green tree to bring home.
Even though were weren't in person,
we still managed to giggle and enjoy the visit!

"Let There be Peace on Earth"
As we prepare for Jesus' birth,
let's try to find peace in our hearts.
Pre K 3 painted this in art class with Ms. Swan.
It is hanging in our room as a reminder to make good choices.
Thank you to Christian's Mommy and Daddy for visiting our class.
They read Elf on the Shelf, and brought in delicious Monkey Bread.
The children thought the name was very silly,
but they loved the sweet warm bread at snack time!
Feliz Navidad
Thank you to Manuel's Mommy for visiting our class.
She read a beautiful poem in Spanish to us about the First Nativity.
She also brought in her authentic Argentian nativity.
We compared it to our class nativity; and learned it is very similar.
We saw Mary, Joseph, animals, and a place for baby Jesus to be born.

PreK 3 had special visitors from the North Pole today!!!
Rudolph and Cupid came to read Elf Pets to our class.
It was a sweet story about doing good things to share our light with others all year long.
We couldn't help giggle as they visited.
We even enjoyed a special treat at snack time.
Happy Birthday to Connor and Leah!
We had such a wonderful celebration today!
Big sister, Isabella, came and read How to Catch an Elf,
and Mommy brought yummy cupcakes to enjoy.
We also joined in one of their familes Christmas traditions,
making crafts at Christmastime.
We each painted our own Christmas tree.
We are so thankful to share brithdays and traditions together!
Thank you to Poppy's Mommy and Daddy
for visiting our classroom today!
The children loved hearing  Little Blue Truck's Christmas,
and sampling some yummy cookies that
Poppy and her Mommy made for her GCS friends.
Hooray for Christmas Traditions!
Thank you to Ryland's Mommy for visiting us today.
She read Twas the Night Before Christmas
and baked special cookies for the class.
It is the same recipe Ryland and his big sister bake for Santa.
They were yummy in our tummy!
O Little Town of Bethlehem...
Pre K 3 took a walk today to see the life size nativity by our church.
We have a small one in our classroom,
and the children were in awe seeing such a beautiful site.
We spotted the 3 kings, far in the distance.  We will take another trip next week to see if they travel closer to the manager.
Pre K 3 gave our finger muscles a workout today!
We used tweezers to sort 6 different types of nativity erasers:
Mary, Joseph, Jesus, a donkey, a star, and a sheep.
Using just our finger muscles helps develop stronger fine motor skills.

Pre K 3 and Their Buddies!!!
Ms. Fallon's 5th grade class visited us today for a sweet playdate.
The fifth graders read to our  Pre K class.
It was so lovely to see the 5th graders take on leadership roles.
They guided the children to a spot,
made them feel safe and read stories to them.
Please look at our website for more adorable pictures!
