About Me
My name is Maria Fata, and I was blessed to become part of the GCS family in 2017, and I am thrilled to be returning. Pre K 3 is an absolute joy to teach! I received my BS with a major in Psychology and a minor in Communications from Fordham University. While teaching 5th and 6th grade in a parochial school in NYC, I received my MS in Teaching from Iona University. After teaching 5th/6th grade for 8 years, I switched gears and have been teaching preschool for the past 22 years. It is by far my favorite age group. One of my favorite things is running into my students outside of school and seeing their smiling faces. I love spending time with my husband, Lou, and our children, Marisa and Nick. We love traveling together, going to the beach, family get togethers, and of course, cheering on the NY Yankees and NY Giants.
I enjoy being an active member of my community and volunteering with several charitable and non profit organizations.
I am looking forward to a wonderful and rewarding year with a new set of amazing three year olds.
