My name is Bill Thomas and this is my second year teaching 3rd Grade at Greenwich Catholic School! We are going to have a fun and exciting year together!
December 12, 2018: Great news! Mrs. Kopas announced this morning that, due to the success of Angel Day last Friday, she has decided to give the entire school a school-wide homework-free night! She gave teachers the option of either doing tonight or tomorrow night. Our class is doing their free night tonight since tomorrow would not be a free night anyway due to the spelling and winter solstice tests that they need to study for. The winter solstice review sheet that was for homework tonight will be completed together in class today so that students have until Friday to study it. Congratulations!!!
November 26, 2018: We have started transitioning into writing our work in cursive. This is a rite-of-passage for 3rd grade that students are excited about! At this point, all work (except for paragraph writing) must be in cursive to receive credit. After Christmas Break, paragraph writing will also be required to be in cursive. Some students may complain or struggle initially, but will feel much more comfortable in a few weeks after working through this transition period.
