Teaching Philosophy

As a teacher, my goal is to help students realize and reach their full-potential.  This is done through getting to know the strengths, challenges, and interests of each student to help drive my instruction.  My lessons are planned using a variety of resources, including group discussions, videos, games, reading, and role plays. We love to have fun in our classroom! This creates a stimulating atmosphere where all students are included.  I also feel that students need to develop skills in both independent work and group work.  As a result, students will be working independently for certain activities and in small groups for other activities.  I also believe that a positive working relationship and an open communication among students, parents, co-workers, and myself is essential for a successful classroom.
