are boys and girls were moving on sun next lesson of our how much are you at okay so this week in poetry were going to be working on creating poems with a pattern and repetition cable so far we've worked on using poems and writing poems about things amusing are our poet glass eyes to describe them then we talk not using wine breaks all right to write our poems that doesn't sound like a story and it sounds more like a poem and that you can emphasize and put the the important words on its own line K and this week we're going to be talking about Paul and Pat and repetition K2 patterns are very important these are pattern there are patterns in math and even an art show today you'll see how poets repeat thing to give their poems music and to make the meaning of the more clear okay so I'm going to show I'm going to read you this poem called go Wind by Lillian Moore okay and what you think about what is repeated and if there's patterns in it okay and then you're going to do the same if we go to the palm called go wind I want you to listen to How I read it and look at how she wrote it on the line okay how it's broken off using inline brakes go wind go wind blow push wind push shake things take make things fly ring things swing things sling things High go wind blow push things we know when no not me not me go winflo push wind swoosh wiggle thing take stuff push objects around Circle some stuff swing things throw something up into the air no Winds Don't not me don't blow me away so what are some things you notice are repeating in this invest poem pain I would say the first thing I see is the word things okay thing she repeat the words thing right here here here here here and hear all right in there is more on the next page 2K she also repeats the free go in right and which is also the title okay go wind if you think I think she put it down here as well right go wind okay she repeated the word below I should go winflo pain even took this whole beginning piece right where go wind blow push wind flute she took the whole to line and she repeated them down here okay so you can even repeat whole parts of your poem all right I think it's also important to notice her lie breaks all right if I go up here look she put the word fly on its own line right high and those two words also do what rhyme okay she could around on its own line K she emphasized certain things that are important to her or are important to her call him I should say all right keep thinking about that when you write your poem she definitely Rhymes a little bit right we saw high and fly all right no-win don't not me Kami Rhymes no one no not me not me right Mary that has a little bit of run you don't have to do that okay and if you notice it says it kind of sounds like a tuner song right kind of flows go winds blow push swimsuit things to make things Fly music in the background as your example for today all right so we want you to try this use different objects if you want to try using the object that you have tried in the past I got a new phone about the same object using this this pattern in this repeating go for it try it okay and you're going to write three poems to go with this one crazy should have three two and three so when we're all said and done you should have about 8 or 9 poems done if you want to write more you're more than welcome to all right but you're still using all of the thing we talked about writing about objects using your poet glasses are your colored eyes you're going to keep practicing the line breaks okay you're going to use your poet glasses okay you're going to you're going to use LINE breaks all right and then you're going to use repeating words and patterns okay so he use those all three of these lessons we've done so far into your poems this week alright you can bring them on Wednesday to our talk about them all right you're all good to go all right I'll just go over one more time you have to choose words that make your palms sound like music okay
