Extra Credit: Attend and report on an extra-curricular Church event.
- Attend a Church based event different from anything you've done before-- either one that I post on the bulletin board and/or Website, or one you find on your own (must be approved by me ahead of time!).
- This could be:
- a concert of sacred music
- a special prayer service
- A youth group meeting (if you've never been to one)
- Eucharistic Adoration
- A Latin Mass
- Another foreign language Mass (especially a language you speak or study)
- An Eastern Orthodox Mass (there are several Greek and Russian Orthodox Churches in the area, and the Eucharist offered at them is considered valid and fulfills our Sunday obligation for Mass)
- Write a report on your experience. The report should include:
- The name, date, time, and location of the event you attended
- A detailed description of what you saw, heard, etc.
- Your impressions: What you liked, disliked, what confused you, what enlightened you , inspired you, or got you thinking, and how
- The reflection should be AT LEAST a full page double spaced, but for a strong grade I would like to see as much detail as possible, so you should expect to write more
- One event per quarter
- Do not attend and report on the same type of event (or something very similar) twice!!!
