Happy 3rd Birthday Jack!!!
We loved celebrating with a special read aloud on our Ben Q board.
Jack's Mommy and Daddy zoomed in to read
Where the Wild Things Are to our class.
We are learning a new fingerplay song,
"5 Little Pumpkins Sitting on a  Gate".
Using fingerplays, songs and rhymes helps the children learn language by increasing their vocabulary.  They also gain large and small motor skills by performing movements.  Not to mention, they are so much fun!

Finger Painting without the Mess!
Mess free sensory Autumn leaf painting is a wonderful activity to explore the changing colors of the season and engage the senses!
The children loved watching the leaves change color and feeling the paint move throughout the leaf.
We are so proud of Pre K 3!
In an effort to be prepared, GCS had a practice lockdown drill today.
The children quickly and quietly moved into the kitchen area, where they quietly enjoyed lollipops.  They knew to win our "game" we all had to be very still and not make a sound. Mr. Ledley came to tell us we won because we were the quietest children at GCS.  They were truly amazing!
Thank you to Bianca's Mommy, Dr. Lleva, for visiting us.
Dr. Lleva taught us that germs like to get inside our bodies
thru our eyes, noses, and mouths.
So it is super important to beat the germs
and be a winner by washing our fingers and hands and
keepingthem out of our mouths.
Red, Yellowor Green
Pre K 3 had a taste test today to see which color apple
was the class' favorite one to eat.
Red came in 1st place,
followed by a tie for Yellow and Green!
We marble rolled paint on our apples today.
This helped our muscles get strong,
by using just the right amount of motion,
to make the ball paint our apples.
Thank you to our GCS Parent Association!
We loved learning how Mr. Chris, from Animal Embassy,
takes care of God's animals.
We met a Daddy frog, a baby frog, a rabbit, a turtle, a bird, a small alligator,
and the softest chincilla you could ever touch.
Thank you to Fr. Richard for coming to Pre K 3 & 4
to celebrate the feast of St. Francis.
The children brought in their favorite stuffed animals and pictures of their pets for a special blessing.
We also surprised Fr. Richard by singing "Happy Birthday" to him!
Happy Birthday Ms. Petrilli!!!
Pre K 3 loved celebrating Ms. Petrilli today.
Birthdays are a gift from God.
Fire Safety Day in Pre K 3!
We welcomed Engine # 11 from Greenwich.
We learned about fire safety, what a firefighter wears, toured the fire truck, and even took turns checking out the inside of the fire truck.
Mrs. Fata and Ms. Petrilli even got to "drive!"
One important message we learned today is:
"Don't Hide...Go Outside!"
Pre K3 took a walk to church today.
We learned that Fr. Ian and Fr. Richard are community helpers.
Just like doctors and nurses that help our body get better,
priests help our hearts and minds stay healthy in our relationship to God.
We said a prayer with all our friends in Pre K 4.
Our Community Helper Week continues, with a focus on TEACHERS!!!
Thank you to Ms. Genovese for playing her guitar and helping us learn new songs and dance "The Hokey Pokey!"
Thanks to EMT Eddie from GEMS!!
Eddie came with his ambulance and a patient, Teddy.
Teddy needed help because he broke his arm.
Eddie taught us all about his job,
and even let us go inside the ambulance to see what's inside.
We are so lucky to have such amazing community helpers in our neighborhood!
