Olá Amigos!
Thank you to Christian's Mommy for zooming into our class today
to teach us about Portugal.
We learned it is full of beautiful beaches, vineyards,
and its delish seafood.
We saw pictures of Christian as a little baby in Portugal.
We even saw a picture of a beautiful statue of

Our Lady of Fatima.
Mrs. Fata's favorite part was sampling the delicious cookie,
it was called the "Maria" cookie!!!!

Buon Appetito a Tutti!
Grazie! Grazie! Grazie!
Thank you to Gabey's Mommy and Daddy for making fresh pasta for the class.  Gabey's Mommy read, Strega Nonna to our class, and then we all took turns flattening our pasta dough and using the Chitarra Abruzzo, Pasta Guitar Tool, to make our own fettuccine!  While the pasta is being cut, it sounds like a guitar is being played.
It is a special tool used in the region of Abruzzo in Italy to make pasta.
It actually belongs to Gabey's Nonna.
After we "made" our pasta, we actually ate the delicious pasta they prepared at home for us.
It was such a fun way to learn about Gabey's culture.
We are so lucky his Mommy teaches at GCS!
No matter how big the playground is....
it's always better when we are together!
Thank you God for such a  beautiful fall day.
Ciao Italia!
Thank you to Agostino's Mama and Papa for teaching us all about Italy.
We learned Italy looks like a boot, has so many yummy foods to eat, beautiful beaches, farms and mountains, and old churches to explore and give thanks to God.
One of our favorite parts of our zoom visit was tasting the delicious pizzelle that Agostino's Great Grandma made for the class!
Grazie! Grazie! Grazie!
Happy Halloween from Pre K 3
We loved welcoming parents and grandparents
onto the corral for some fun and games.
The children looked adorable in their costumes,
and we had the best day ever!

Happy 3rd Birthday to Melissa!
We had a special in person guest reader, her brother Matteo!
He read, There was a Silly Unicorn that Wanted to Fly.
We were so excited to welcome Matteo and celebrate Melissa.

Mrs. Geneovese introduced Pre K 3 to a new instrument,
her ukelele!
We all took a turn making music
before we sang songs in different tempos.

PreK 3 is so blessed!!!
Thank you to everyone who donated funds to our class library.
We purchased over 25 new books to enjoy.
Open shut them, Open shut them
Give a little clap, clap clap
Put them in your lap, lap, lap!
Creep them, crawl them (up your legs towards your mouth)
Creep them, crawl them
Right up to your chin, chin, chin,
Open wide your little mouths.......
BUT....
DO NOT LET THEM IN!!!!!! (Hide them behind your back!)
Here is the little finger play poem we are learning in school.
It is a cute poem, but more importantly, helps reinforce not putting our fingers in our mouths!
I really emphasize the part that says ..."But do not let them in...."
Ask the children to show you what our hands do!

Happy 3rd Birthday Enzo!
We loved celebrating a birthday today.
We even had a special storytime, with his Mommy and Daddy!
They joined via zoom, and read
Peek - Flap Who.
All Aboard!!!
Pre K was so lucky to go on a hay ride around our beautiful campus.
Thank you to Ms. Georgette for driving us over bumpy spots for extra fun.
Ms. Steck even took a ride with us!
After our hay ride, we found pumpkins in the corral to pick.
Good thing we have strong muscles; it was the best day ever!
How Can We Explore Pumpkins?
We can touch pumpkins to feel if they are smooth or bumpy.
We can see a pumpkin's color
We can hear a pumpkin when we tap on it.
We can taste a pumpkin in pies and cookies.
We can even smell stinky, rotten pumpkins.

Every moment is a learning opportunity in Pre K 3!
We are learning about colors thru literature this week,
and ate a rainbow at snack time.
The children practiced sorting their snack by color!

1 Leaf, 2 Leaves, 3 Leaves Falling...
We created a leaves in motion collage in art class with Ms. Swan.
Mother Nature was on our side because when we went to the playground, there were leaves falling all around us!
Happy 3rd Birthday Ryland!
We loved celebrating with a special treat,
and enjoyed Ryland's Mommy reading to us,
Room on the Broom.
