For Monday, May 8: Remember Swimming Gear:

You must have:

- a bag for swimming materials

- a swimsuit

- a towel

 

Optional:

- Goggles

- Swim cap

- Swim shirt for boys

- Brush and detangle spray or leave in conditioner for girls

- Separate smaller towel to dry hair

 

It will be chilly for May on Monday, only in the 50's.

Remember to bring rain gear tomorrow!

Spelling City is not working on the teacher's end.

- Remember there are digital versions of some of the series book report under ELA resources on our website.

- Your teacher found out over the weekend she does not have to report to Jury Duty on Monday, May 1 after all. She does not know yet about Tuesday, May 2

- The week of May 1 is Teacher Appreciation week

- Gym uniform and sneakers on Monday. Students may wear navy gym shorts if they wish.

- Swimming starts on Monday for the next few weeks. They MUST bring a swimsuit and a towel in a bag.

- Optional:

goggles, extra plastic bag for wet items, swim shirt for boys, swim cap, brush/comb, detangle or leave in conditioner spray for girls, flip flops for pool deck

Reminder: This is the LAST weekend to work on your Series Book Report! You should finish the book this weekend and work on the packet. It is due on Wednesday, May 3.

Also, optional spring uniform starts on Monday, May 1.

Optional: $2 for May Crowning flower and form by Monday, May 1

The GCS Literary Magazine is taking entries! Our class submitted individual stories and are working on buddy stories. If students want to submit extra writing, they may! They can write fiction stories, nonfiction stories, poems, comic books, or song lyrics! All entries are due by Wednesday, May 3 at the latest.

Regular Gym uniforms for Monday, April 24

Every student in the class got bumped up at least one level on the reading website, Kids A-Z! Please try out some stories and quizzes and let me know if they are too difficult, too easy or just right.
