Biography

Hello, my name is Amy Lynch. I will be your child's teacher for the 2022-23 school year and I am delighted to be a part of the Greenwich Catholic School community.
I grew up in Queens, NY and attended parochial schools until junior year of high school when my family and I moved to the Hudson Valley. I started my journey in the arts, earning my associates in Jewelry Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology ,and initially worked in the jewelry industry.  A summer job at a local camp changed my long-term goals. I had the opportunity to teach art to young children and enjoyed creating projects aligning with the camp theme weeks. This inspired me to study early childhood education after graduating with my bachelors degree in art history from Purchase College.  I obtained my master’s degree from Manhattanville College and I hold Connecticut and New York State Teaching Certification. With eighteen years of experience, I have taught PreK for Archdiocese of New York in Manhattan and excited to start to begin my third year here at GCS.
