Teaching Philosophy

I have fallen in love with first grade! I find it so rewarding to watch my students begin to read and write. I strive to be a teacher who always brings out the best in each student. I encourage a lifelong love of learning. No two children have the same learning style, therefore I try to individualize the curriculum as much as possible to challenge/or support individual needs. I believe a structured classroom environment with clear routines and expectations helps each child succeed. I work to create a safe and loving classroom community that promotes exploration, inquiry, joy, and laughter.
