As part of our continued commitment to caring for our nation's veterans, I am pleased to announce my eighth annual "Valentines for Vets" project.
This Valentine's Day, I invite you and your students to show our veterans they are in our thoughts by creating valentines that will be delivered to our local Veterans Affairs hospital in Bridgeport, and various other veterans service organizations in our community. Students from over sixty elementary schools and youth organizations across the Fourth District participated in last year's "Valentines for Vets" project, making the program a huge success.
I have seen how appreciative veterans are when someone sincerely thanks them for their service and know they were incredibly grateful for the many beautiful cards they received. Our goal is to make this year's project even bigger, so I hope you will encourage your students to join in this effort.
If your school or class would like to participate in the "Valentines for Veterans" project, please contact Joshua Rodriguez at Joshua.Rodriguez@mail.house.gov or call our office at (203) 333-6600.
Valentines may be mailed to or dropped off to my Bridgeport office at 211 State Street, Floor 2, Bridgeport, CT 06604 by 5:00pm on Monday, February 4, 2019. If possible, please do not date the valentines.
Thank you for your time and help with this special project.
