This committee needs help setting up the morning prior to the event, plus servers to work and clean up at the event. If you signed up on the first day of school near the coffee truck, please go into the sign up and indicate if you are volunteering for set up, the day of the event, or both.
This committee runs the Apple Program, which provides teachers with donated gifts throughout the year. On a monthly basis, this committee, with the help of donations from parents, puts together gifts and gift baskets which are handed out through a lottery amongst the GCS teachers and staff. We still need donations for September and upcoming fall months! This is a great way to show the faculty how much we appreciate them.
Our committee, with the help of volunteers, helps to enhance and enrich the beauty of our campus year round starting with the first day of school. The Beautification Committee decorates the front entrance welcoming our new and returning students and families. Over the course of the school year, we continue to create a warm and welcoming environment throughout our campus with seasonal decorations and holiday decorations. Does your student need to log in some community service hours? This is a great way to do so!
This sign up is for stocking the teachers lounges in both the lower school and upper school as well as the kitchen in the Convent for the Facilities staff. The Upper School has approximately 10 teachers and Lower School approximately 40 teachers and please account for 5 facility and staff. The faculty would love individual packages of chips, granola bars, fresh fruit and K cups. Another great way to show the faculty your appreciation! There are many spots open still.
Help organizing, restocking, selling at events and opening the store on Mondays or Thursdays (ONLY every 2 or 3 weeks, one of the days per week) from 8 am to 8:25 am. Upon signing up, Chairperson Pilar Quartarolo will contact you about weeks and days.
The book fair committee needs more volunteers to help co chair. Help planning and running both book fairs. Approximately working time: 1-2 hours preparing each fair, 3 hours for setting up, parts of 2 school days to work the fair, 2 hours for take down, two times a year
This Committee organizes a breakfast for the lower school to meet Santa during the holiday season. Held in the Convent, Santa comes and brings a small gift for each child. Grades PreK-1st, plus siblings are invited. This Committee needs volunteers to assist setting up for the event the day prior, and working/cleaning up the day of the event.
We need assistance with setting up (middle schoolers can do this for service hours, as long as a parent is in attendance with them), and working the fair too. Can't donate your time? There are options to donate gift cards so the book fair team can purchase items for the raffles.
We need families to purchase a turkey before Thanksgiving for our annual food drive for St. Rafael's.
This is a wonderful service opportunity for your student(s) and a great way for GCS Families to come together as a community to help those less fortunate - help serve dinner at Inspirica, located in Stamford.

This committee organizes a fun evening of dancing, photos and treats in the school gymnasium for PreK-8th grade girls and their fathers. It is such a special event and will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020, 7-9pm.
This Committee organizes a Halloween Party in the gym for the students of GCS. Chairs will coordinate fun, seasonal activities, pizza, music and games for an afternoon of fun.
Volunteer to help serve pizza on a Wednesday.
