The Greenwich Catholic School Athletic Program philosophy is one where we encourage the development of self-esteem, character, collaboration, discipline, and a sense of social responsibility in our student-athletes through participation in middle school athletics.

It is our belief that as many students as possible in Grades 5 to 8 should have the opportunity to experience interscholastic athletic competitions at the middle school level. The  Greenwich Catholic School Athletic Program provides student-athletes with a selection of sports offerings in the fall, winter, and spring:

  • Fall - Cross Country (coed), Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Volleyball (coed), Field Hockey

  • Winter - Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Swimming (coed)

  • Spring - Baseball, Softball, Cross Country (coed), and Tennis (coed)

Athletics play an important role in the Greenwich Catholic School community. They fully complement the academic and religious life of our school. Student-athletes must maintain high academic achievement, comply with school expectations, and exhibit good behavior on a consistent basis in order to participate on GCS athletic teams.

While our student-athletes and coaching staff will compete to the best of their abilities, the emphasis at GCS will be on education and participation.   Winning is certainly important but it will not be our only focus. We are looking to build self-esteem, self-confidence, the ability to work as a team,  and sportsmanship ideals in our student-athletes in order to provide valuable lifelong lessons and a positive learning experience for all.

We are proud to offer our student-athletes a beautiful 38-acre campus filled with multiple athletic fields, a brand-new multi-sports court that includes basketball, tennis, and volleyball, a completely remodeled full-sized gymnasium, and refurbished boys and girls locker rooms.
