After School Enrichment

The After School Enrichment Courses at Greenwich Catholic School are designed to provide children with enjoyable and educational experiences in the creative arts, the sciences, and athletics. 
Children who are registered and enrolled in an Afters program will be picked up at the end of the school day from their classroom.  After attendance is taken, the children will be picked up by their Afters instructor.  At 4 pm when Afters is over, the programs will be dismissed from the area listed in the program schedule below. For children who are not picked up by 4:10, they will be brought up to Aftercare which is located in the Convent.

Other Important Information

  • In the case of a weather-related cancellation, a makeup class will be arranged (if possible), or the cost of the class will be credited.
  • In the case of a cancellation, parents will be emailed at the address used for registration, and an update will be posted on this site.
  • Students who participate in Afters are expected to behave appropriately and act respectfully toward our teachers, coaches and coordinators. If a behavioral problem arises during Afters, a note will be sent home with your child to be signed and returned to the office before the student can return to that program. If a student receives 3 behavioral notes during the course of an Afters, they will not be allowed to return to that program. In the event that a student is not allowed to return to an Afters program due to behavioral issues, no refund or credit will be given.
  • Please keep in mind that all snacks consumed after school (in Afters and/or After Care) must be NUT-FREE. No snacks are allowed in the hallway, or when traveling to/from a program.


  Group Guitar Lessons with Mr. Radzin 

Have a guitar and not sure what’s next? Mr. Radzin is ready for you! Beginner musicians can learn introductory guitar skills, including basic chords. Please bring your own guitar -- if you need a guitar, please contact Noelle Debes at to inquire about rental options.


Kids In Sports Basketball

Kids in Sports brings Basketball back to GCS for the Winter! This program will concentrate on ball handling skills (dribbling, passing), footwork, shooting skills, scrimmage games and teamwork.


 Global Art Adventures

Ni Hao, G’day, Ciao, Hello & Welcome! It’s the perfect time to travel on an amazing Global Art Adventure. Students will love visiting and learning about different countries, cultures, festivals, artists, languages and creating extraordinary Art Creations! Projects may include- Special Holiday 3D Art, Chinese New Year Art, Aboriginal Dot Painting, Native American Dream Catcher, Foil Art, Carnevale Mask, Clay and Wood Sculpture & more. Explore cool techniques and fun mediums like wood, wire, stones, clay, beads, foil, yarn, branches, feathers, cardboard, paint, oil pastels. Wrap, stencil, decoupage, sculpt, paint, construct and create.

Children will be inspired and challenged to use creative abilities, build new skills and celebrate diversity. Discover the world one art adventure at a time.



Homework Club with Mrs. Grall

This club is a great opportunity for students to learn discipline and organization when it comes to school studies. They will have the opportunity for a teacher to oversee their work while completing their daily assignments. What a great way to complete homework before getting home!

NOTE: This program is a quiet zone -- not a tutoring program.


Karate -- Greenwich Kempo

We are proud to continue having Kempo Academy of Martial Arts in our Afters program! Under the direction of Sensei Jonathan Simon, we will be offering Karate to students in Grades K-6. Kempo Academy strives to provide a fun, safe, energetic learning experience for all students. Lessons will focus on teaching discipline, self-control and respect for others. These classes will emphasize motor skills, balance, strength, conditioning, and mastery of oneself.


Yoga -- The Children’s School of Yoga of Fairfield

The Children’s School of Yoga is a yoga program designed for children.  Students will learn many skills such as:  stress relief, flexibility, strength and to find inner peace through the art and practice of yoga designed specifically for young people.  We are pleased to welcome Ms. Emily, a certified Yoga Instructor.  Please bring a yoga mat if you have one.


Chess Club with Coach Harrison

Chess teaches children many important life concepts, such as learning the ability to win graciously and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Students will be actively involved in playing chess each week. They will be divided into groups/partners according to their chess experience. Beginners welcome.

Dance with Miss Vickie

60 minute Dance Program for boys and girls! Class will be a high energy and fun dance class ( including some jazz, ballet, yoga,and more ) that encompasses the fundamentals of dance along with age appropriate songs and movements that work well for primary school grades.  Children will enjoy circle dance as well as combinations across the floor.   They will learn to hop, jump and skip to music such as Frozen, Little Einsteins, Aladdin and more!!  The curriculum in this afters will be based off of the age range of the participants and grade level. This is a great workout and tons of fun!


Kids In Sports -- Multi-Sports

Multi-Sport Athlete classes are specifically designed for all age levels, and will take place in the GCS cafeteria. These classes teach the fundamentals of multiple sports, in addition to keeping kids actively moving and learning coordination with fitness and cooperative game sessions.

GREENWICH SWIM SCHOOL WINTER 2017-18 Schedule and Price List

Session Dates: 12/4 - 3/2  (8-10 sessions, varies, please see below)


Swimmers Ages 3-6


Children have had little or no previous swimming instruction.  Class focus is on getting swimmers comfortable with water, going underwater, kicking and other introductory swimming skills. Class Ratio 3:1


For swimmers with little experience and must be able to swim 5 yards to be in this group.  Skills introduced include water entry, floating, flutter kicking, and arm action.  Basic pool safety also covered.  Seahorses will swim 15 yards of Freestyle and Backstroke before moving on to become "Little Fish".

Class Ratio 3:1

Little Fish

Children must be able to swim 15 yards of Freestyle and Backstroke to be in this group.  Other strokes, proper technique, and stroke endurance will be introduced. Class Ratio 4:1

Swimmers Ages 6-12


Swimmers with no previous or little swimming experience.  Skill set is similar to Starfish, but for older children who will progress faster. Class ratio 3:1


Must possess skills from previous level and be able to swim unassisted for 5 yards.  Skills taught include kicking of all strokes as well as basic water safety. Class Ratio 3:1


Must already be able to swim 15 yards of Freestyle or Backstroke.  This level will work on stroke endurance, other strokes, side breathing, and turning on the wall. Class Ratio 4:1


Must be able to swim 25 yards of two strokes.  This class will work on coordination, refinement of all strokes, and increased distance.  Proper competitive turns will be introduced. Class Ratio 6:1

Stroke and Turn Clinic

Must have completed Dolphins or other forms of swim lessons, and be able to complete at least 25 yds of 4 strokes.  Introduction to competitive swimming and training techniques, and stroke refinement.

  • day per week (8-10 lessons): $240-$300
  • days per week (16-20 lessons): $440-$550
  • days per week (24-30 lessons over 10 weeks):$600- $750

Stroke and Turn: $700 (2 days)

Private lessons are also available between 3:30 and 5:00pm depending on instructor availability. $65 per lesson.
