Students are to be in Full Dress all day on Friday, June 2. Please bring an extra snack and a beach towel or picnic blanket for our class picnic.

May 30 Due Date for Summer Reading Ordering
May 30th is the last day to order Summer Reading books through GCS. Log onto your account on MySchoolAnywhere.
For incoming fourth graders, they have to read Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach AND Kate DiCamillo's
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.
Copies will be delivered to the main office in June.
Check the MySchoolAnywhere website for other grades 4-8 summer reading. (Incoming third graders must read The Chocolate Touch.)

Character Book Report Update
As of May 30, students should be done reading their Character Book Report.
They should work on their cover, script and character graphic organizer the week of May 30. All paperwork due Wednesday, June 7.
- No school Monday, May 29 due to Memorial Day.
- For filling our stone jar, we are having a picnic Friday afternoon, June 2, at the end of the day. Please have students bring an extra snack and a beach towel or picnic blanket to sit on. (It looks like rain on Friday, May 26.)
- Save the date: Third Grade Ice Cream Social, Thursday, June 15 (rain date, June 16). Parents are invited to this event.
